Today WestJet airlines announced it will begin two daily flights from Ottawa to Hamilton beginning on June 8. Connecting service to Winnipeg and Moncton will be offered via Hamilton. Fares start at $79 from Ottawa to Hamilton, and $169 from Ottawa to either Winnipeg or Moncton. This marks the third new eastern destination WestJet will begin to service, with more on the way as WestJet recieves more aircraft. WestJet plans to begin service to Montreal in the fall, pending negotiations with Aeroports de Montreal. This indicates WJ is looking at Dorval and Mirabel airports, as St. Hubert is not an ADMtl airport, but also remember that they went to Moncton after considering Halifax, so perhaps St. Hubert is still possible.

Westjet is still considering Halifax to the list. I think WJ should have daily service from Hamilton to Winnipeg. Makes connections better I hope Westjet adds a saterday flight between YWG-YHM. Its nice to see WJ flying into the Ottawa airport. Montreal I think will be Dorval or Mirbelle. Also WJ is adding Montreal n the summer says in the press realse in Feburary of 2000.
