click to have info about this aircraft and the problem with the Mont Boron

The Mont Boron is a residential aerea with a lot of big and expensive houses.

from Mont Boron we can see Nice airport and we are just in front of the axis(axles) of the rways 23L and R

it's a great view of one of the most difficult and dangerous approach in the world.

The distance betweenThe Mont Boron and NCE airport is about 10 KMS.

hi,

i live in Nice and the captain of this M11 (a royal flight)
had made a bad approach , too down during approach .

a normal approach is: to turn at left before the Mont Boron and after final approach on 23R .

for this approach The DGAC has forbidden to fly over Nice city , it will be most easier to land @ Nice with a flight over the MT Boron , but it's too dangerous to fly over Nice (french rules!!!,noise,..etc,fear of people...)

sorry for my bad english i hope you have understood.

Best Regards

philippe

OK

A+

avion et bonjour à GVA et Neuchatel

Philippe

Salut!

I was in Nice about three years ago and I saw an Air Inter A330 doing a VERY low approach right over the roofs of the city.
It was like a Kai Tak approach and I thought this a/c is going to crash...

approach on 23R is very spectacular , and very exciting when we are on the plane, because there is a lot of wind during the landing!!!

GREAT
