How busy in terms of incoming flights is BHX?
I live under the flightpath, but its not very often that planes go over, so I'm thinking that perhaps its either relatively quiet, or maybe they only fly over this way if the runway is reversed?
Although, saying that, I would see them taking off more, which I don't.
At home, I live under the flight path of MAN, and there is a plane at least every five minutes there... BHX isn't as big an airport, but its still a fair-sized one, I would have thought the traffic was comparable?

I'd have said very busy really - it's a BA citiexpress hub, so there will be plenty of ERJs and ARJs flying in and out all day, as well the the numerous flyBE DH8s and ARJs, plus the less regular charters. As well as based airlines, there are flights from AF, CSA, Alitalia, SN Brussels and other EU carriers, as well as the new Emirates and Air India flights.
When I was at BHX under the flight path for 33, there were probably about 20-30 planes in 3 hours at least.
No trees were harmed by this message. However, several million electrons were terribly inconvenienced

Quite a bit of traffic coming from the south and east flies over Leamington Spa (where I'm living while at uni.) on the way to Birmingham runway 33. I've seen Emirates 777s and Pakistan A310s come in really low, as well as MyTravel/Thomas Cook A320s and Britannia/Thomson 757s and 767s.
