To all you PHL spotters:

I have noticed an Air France A330 that has been parked at the old overseas terminal for at least 3 days now. Does anyone know why?

BTW: This is not their regular CDG-PHL flight which was parked at it's gate as well.

Jeff

Don't have the exact reason, but if she's been here for three days I'm willing to bet that it's a mx-related issue. Usually AF is in and out as quickly as possible, so I couldn't imagine it hanging around for any other reason.

I just check ACARS, looks like it's the new one ZCO. I'd have to agree with Bry, definately MX related.

maintenance problem related.

Actually it's there for me. I leased it from AF for a week. I got tired of Flight Sim, so I'm switching to the real thing now.  duck

Caution wake turbulence, you are following a heavy jet.

I kinda figured that might be it, but I thought I'd check.

Thanks!

F-GZCO sustained damage after arrival on Thursday 02 June. Subsequently AF365/02JUN was cancelled. Expect the aircraft to remain a few more days before returning to CDG (7 or 8 June). Otherwise AF366/365 operating as per schedule with other aircraft.

Do you know more about the type of damage ?

Avoid 777 with 3-4-3 config in Y ! They are real sardine cans. (AF/KL for example)

Best of luck to the station of PHL.

Must have been a lot of work that day. I am surprised no A330 station has been penalised because of it (at least that I know of). They just need the a/c back to start DTW! LOL :P

Well we have seen CP and CO come and go, and if CO was just before CP. Than it's still new, plus they are new to us. Since all we used to get was CN and CM.

CM, CN, CO, CP are the only 4 A332 equipped with the new seats configuration 40J/169Y.

That's why you always see the same a/c at PHL !  Wink
