Just wondered if there's any good traffic to watch out for when i'll be at Gatwick on the 2nd July.

I've never been there before, is there any areas i should watch out for to have a good view of the tarmac/runway/etc?

Any help would be much appreciated,

G

I went to LGW in April before my flight to SSH, LGW is a great aiport but decent spotting places is limited!

Here's some pics I took from "Crash Gate" located at the end of the runway!

Emirates A330-200, Britannia 767-200, 767-300, Lauda 737-800 & BA A321-200

To get to "Crash Gate" you have drive to the end of the runway down the country lanes, you can then just stop and park there and take pics!

Have fun! Big grin

Rob!

That appears to not be an Emirates A330-200, it looks more like the old Monarch colours. I think Emirates uses 777's to LGW, not sure about that though.

Since your flying BA from the North Terminal in the morning, you can get good views from the window near Eat and the soft drinks bar, and should be able to see some AA and BA widebodies. You will also be able to see a bit of the South terminal and the runway.
