The airline will use a six-passenger Piper PA-31 Chieftain twin-engine aircraft. Flying time is estimated at 1 hour 10 minutes. Fares are about $159 o/w.
SUS is located in Chesterfield MO, 17 miles west of St. Louis. MKC is Kansas City's Downtown Airport, which hasn't seen scheduled commercial traffic for a number of years, as far as I know. It's been in use as a GA airport for years, and all airlines relocated to MCI in the early 70s.
MKC is much closer to downtown Kansas City (right across the Missouri River from downtown) --- it'll be interesting to see if people are willing to pay that much more for service out of MKC.

It'll probably be a scheduled charter type operation. It intrigues me, unfortunately I can't find the website or who is operating it.
If they can convince people to fly in a Piper Chieftan for an hour I think they have a chance. The only thing that I can see working against them is the fact that Chesterfield is kinda far from the city, however, nothing much happens in the city and there is plenty of people and businesses in St. Louis County, so it could work.

Quoting Stl1326 (Reply 3): Yes, Chesterfield is far from the city, but many of the fortune 500 companies that are based in the St. Louis area are in St. Louis County. The flights I'm sure are geared toward business travelers.
It's about 25 miles to the cbd in downtown. It's is really not that far, and on I-64/US 40 .On a good day it takes less than a half hour to drive between the two. SUS was out in the fields/floodplain up until the last 5 years. Now it is really surround by the burbs, and st charles county and their growth is a stones throw away.

Cookies are the Gateway pastry. They lead to Éclairs and Bear Claws.

its just nice to see someone starting a small airline like they used to do it back in the 70's. some people forget that some large regionals started out like this. both Comair and SkyWest started with Piper Navajo's.
it may work, it may not....buts its refreshing to see. i wish them well!
Well nothing's dead down here, just a little tired
