Flights have consistently been full since TG started this route in May. TG has been heavily promoting with special fares throughout the region. For example they are undercutting fares from Singapore by as much as US$600 compared with the direct SQ route in coach, and as much as US$2000 in Business Class.

Quoting B742 (Reply 2): Will these flights stay full, will there ever be a chance for a second flight maybe 3x weekly?
Sad, but true, Singapore Airlines, it the only Asian airline not to offer nonstop service to Asia from JFK. They operate nonstop out of Newark. The "other" New York airport.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean?
I know SQ operates SIN-EWR-SIN and TG operates BKK-JFK-BKK!

Loading is pretty good all the way up to late Sept for now. Although they want to have more C & Y seats filled up. The B seats are selling pretty good.

Business travellers prefer EWR to JFK. SQ has done the right thing.
It's easier to get to, fewer terminals, less delays and altogether a more pleasant experience. Plus, the international arrivals area at EWR is fantastic. I've gone from the plane to my cab after a 20 hour flight in less than 20 minutes.

Uh oh, Jaysit, I think you've just opened a can of worms here by claiming that EWR is better than JFK in Kahala's presence...there was a pretty heated discussion about EWR vs. JFK a while ago, and Kahala had strong words about EWR's inferiority to JFK.

maybe 10yrs ago....EWR is more crowded now especially w/all CO's Intl service in only 3 terminals compared to 9...plus the IAT redevelopment JFK's IAT is a very pleasant change from the old IAB...
