Just saw a quick news flash on ABC 7 about a United Express hard landing at LAX that happened around 30 minutes ago. One runway shut down. Has anyone seen or heard more?

It was not a hard landing. The nose gear collapsed.

Yeah, the 25 rwys were shut down tonight, causing all the airlines that use that runway to use 24L tonight. What a mess it was! We had WN, US, and AC trying to taxi down the T1/T2 alleyway with a Delta 764, NZ 744, Philippines 744, and KE 744 all trying to take off.

My posts/replies are strictly my opinion and not that of any company, organization, or Southwest Airlines.

I was on the DL 764 10:30 red-eye to ATL....our pilot really didn't elaborate on why the south runways were shut down, but it was a really funny lineup waiting to take off on one of the north runways. All I could see from the DL terminal were lots of flashing emergency lights....how long were the south runways closed down last night after all things considered?

I know! Let's sue the airline for a rough landing!
