I thought they will go for the A350 , A330-200 is a great choice ! Got a sneek feeling they will go for GE engines with commonality with the 737 and 772LR.

I guess they've chosen the 330s to get faster delivery. They need aircraft NOW to give their international aspirations wings. Good for 9W - do we know when these aircraft are to start reaching India?

Great news. Good to see Indian carriers taking a very proactive approach towards expanding.

I heard that the 772s deliveries will start next year (other thread). Hopefully that 330s will be delivered soon too.
