That's interesting, who would take a mix of 8 773ER & 772LR?

Columba, rumor and an article in the Seattle Post claim its for Alaska. If true they would most likely be 738's.

It will in time... Probably not much point for the lease companies to buy it right now because they may not have the lease commitments. Don't worry too much though, both ILFC and GEcas will order this plane eventually (and probably in large numbers).

Possibly, but could be -900's in that case?

What about the 777's? Any news of their destinations? Is it possible there could be some freighter versions in there? That would make my day.  Wink

It appears that the order is for 6x 773ER and 2x 772ER according to Boeing. So, no 772LR as I had assumed.

That answers my question! 772ER not 772LR. ILFC have been far more conservative in ordering recently and usually only order when they have placed the frames. I assume the 737s will be for AS, not too sure who the 777s are for though.

Thanks Dale, that also rules out any 772F in the order Montycarlos.

Make that a two month delay in the announcement of the 7810.

This order brings ILFC's total 737 orders to 417, with 78 remaining to be delivered, and total 777 orders to 75, with 27 future deliveries. ILFC has ordered 678 Boeing jets since 1977.

MonteyCarlos, nope! Alaska has all but ruled out the -900. We have enough of them to do what we need them to do.

Wouldnt be at all surprised if KLM took them too - expansion measure. AF operate them and i would be amazed if they didnt get them at some stage.

What do you mean you dont have any bourbon? Do you know how far it is to Houston? What kind of airline is this???

Udvar-Hazy did say (today apparently) that they will order the 787 beforethe end of the year and that price is a very small detail. Sounds like they getting some airlines lined up to lease them before they place an order.
