Hope this is the appropriate forum to post this in, if not then tell me where to put it.  Smile

I had a look at this video from SMX, and was really surprised by the height of the 2nd plane to land in this clip.

http://www.flightlevel350.com/public_viewer.php?cat=95&pic=3296

Quite spectacular as most approaches are at this particular airport, but man I thought he was gonna clip the fence there, hehe. Love the rushing of the engines as he starts to realize he should perhaps pull up.  Smile

I think it's kinds stupid playing with that, can get dangerous. But it's not my problem  Wink

By the way, what do these signs say on the fence? All these people running around is fun!

I don't think they would accept any kind of money to let go, I'm still on the floor laughing at it  spin

About those two guys on the fence. My neighbors go from BDL-SJU-SXM on AA every February and on their most recent trip they were on Maho Beach and three drunk guys in their twenties tried to hang on as an AF A343 put full power. Lets just say that they couldn't hang on. and were flung into the ocean. All three of them were flung into the water like a tree being ripped out of the ground and flying through the air in a hurricane. One almost drowned while the other two escaped with minor injuries. Aren't they thinking about extending the rwy. and therefore Maho would be gone? That would be a sad day for a.net and spotters around the globe, that place is like our little spotters paraise. (which incidentally has warm temps. and maybe some good looking chicks){NO OFFENCE}.  Cool

Cool video-- did anyone notice the USAirways 757 first officer motioning? He was either waving (a very long wave) or waving people back-- I think the second one is what he was doing, because he did it for quite a while.

Given the distance from the threshold they cross the fenceline about 30'-40' above ground level. This would be a standard slope. They wouldn't be any higher than 50'. The one taking off at the cameran is about 60' above ground level.
