According to Skyliner magazine Adam Air of Indonesia has ordered 10 Airbus A320-200 for international expansion. No details mentioned, see the news flash line. There have been rumours for some time about this order.

While I am not saying that this order is impossible, I find it strange. The airline has been screaming around here in Jakarta how they plan to expand their B737 fleet to 25 airframes by the end of the year, so it does somehow not make a lot of sense to go for yet another aircraft type for the proposed international network. Also, about two years ago, this same airline announced the acquisition of B757s for international expansion, and nothing has been heard of that project since. Neither has anything come of the international expansion, for that matter...

Indonesia's Adam Air favouring A320 for 10-aircraft deal
Nicholas Ionides, Singapore (21Jun05)
Indonesia’s fast-growing Adam Skyconnection Airlines (Adam Air) is leaning towards the Airbus A320 in its assessment of new narrowbody aircraft for a planned purchase but is not ruling out the Boeing 737.
VP Dave Laksono says from Jakarta that the airline hopes to take a decision on an order for 10 new narrowbodies within a year. It has been assessing early Airbus and Boeing proposals for several months and Laksono says Airbus is well ahead with its A320-family aircraft at this stage than Boeing with its 737-700/800/900s.
