The first 747 Large Cargo Freighter is on the Boeing schedule for today, if anyone wants to catch a glimpse. There are supposed to be some interesting bits hanging off the tail for testing purposes, but I haven't seen them. This will be your only chance to see it before it leaves for Taiwan on Friday.

Was on the schedule for 9am, but the flight plan hasn't shown up yet. You know how it is, they are only on time if I am running late Big grin

Figure a 10am departure and a 2-3 hour flight, should be back around 1.

Still hasn't flown. There were a couple of technical issues, now it is second shift, so we shall see. I am hoping they wait until tomorrow, the wx is supposed to be a lot nicer.

Gah. I hung around the parking lot near the tower and could see it parked and people doing work on it, but then I had to leave at around 1PM.

Pardon me for just falling off the turnip truck, but what's a Large Cargo Freighter? Is it some sort of Guppy-esqe mod like the A300 Beluga?

Yes, that is what it is, although that work has not been done yet.

It is due into BFI at 5:45, it just made a 180 off the coast of northern Cali and is headed back, im off to violate it.

Only bit hanging off of it was an air data package.
