KL To Bring A332 To IAD.....

For anyone who is interested, and if this has already been posted, my apologies.

KL will partially switch the AMS/IAD/AMS route to A332 effective 01SEP (will be A332 daily EXCEPT Tuesday & Sunday, when it will still be a 767):

** AMADEUS - TD ** IAD DULLES INTL.USDC 01SEP05 08SEP05
1 KL 651 27 AMS IAD 1135 1405 03APR05-02OCT05 767
2 KL 651 X27 AMS IAD 1135 1405 01SEP05-29OCT05 332

** AMADEUS - TD ** AMS AMSTERDAM.NL 01SEP05 08SEP05
1 KL 652 27 IAD AMS 1700 0655+1 05APR05-02OCT05 767
2 KL 652 X27 IAD AMS 1700 0655+1 01SEP05-28OCT05 332

As of 30OCT, it will be an A332 DAILY!

How long has been KL serving IAD? I flew them back in the mid-90s, they used 747s  Smile back then beforing giving the route to NW. Stopped flying to IAD when that happend....

I will be able to see this plane every day its here, and I'm excited.

Having to drive all the f'n way out here to the office does have its advantages. I can kick back at my desk and stare out at the heavies at about 1500' in between our offices.

How hard is it  Wink.. there are some pics of the first one though. for if you can't wait that long.

KLM A332 will shine at AMS  Smile I shure hope I see it a little sooner then with the 777's.. The first KL 777 I saw was 2 or 3 months after the delivery..

If I remember correctly, it was last year sometime (not sure, but I don't think it was 2003) that NW turned IAD back over to KL and it's been a 767 from day one. Nice that it'll now be a A332!

it might be that some of the proposed KL A330 routes will be shifted to MD-11 or maybe even 777 since KLM Said they will introduce the 777 on more south america routes and the A330(along side 777) on some caribean routes...
