Just for any spotters interested, there are some new things to see at JFK:

  • Israir has finally given their 763 some color by adding their logo (actually several logos and if you've seen any Israir aircraft you'll know what I mean) to the tail. It's a nice bright orange and it's a 100% improvement from the all white. Unfortunately, you have to get up pretty early to see this one arrives since it arrives at 6:00am every Tuesday, Thursday, & Sunday. However, on Thursdays, it departs around 3:30pm.

  • Also, Universal has finally gotten the 320 with their logo on the tail as well. I haven't seen it up close yet, but I have seen it in the distance on the tarmac. It usually arrives around 5:45pm. I can't wait to see it.

  • Last but not least, Eurofly's newest 332 with the new color scheme is also arriving at JFK with extra "in partnership with Campania". If someone knows if I spelled it correctly or not, please let me know and please explain the partnership as well. Is it a tour company or some way associated with the airline? Thanks in advance.

Anyway, happy spotting !!!  airplane   wave

The Universial is using a Taca aircraft. It looks good in the new colors.

Campania is one of the 20 regions of Italy, its capital being Naples; IIRC that Eurofly 332 (I-EEZJ) has different stickers on either side of the fuselage, one for Campania and one for Sicily.

Austrian/Lauda will use their B767-300 to JFK sometime in the future. I'm not sure when it'll start, but it's in the schedules for December. Hopefully this means the 777 will be scheduled for the Summer 2006 season  Wink.

That's right. It comes in every Tuesday through Friday. I was hoping to see it in the new Austrian colors, but when I saw it, it was the white tail Star Alliance 763 for Lauda.  frown  Oh well, at least I have all summer to hope I see it.

Yea I saw Eurofly the other day come in. Nice plane and I like the livery. They have a lot of advertising in Times Square. Very appealing, in the future I want to go to Italy so maybe I can fly them there.

And I can't wait to see Air Tahiti at JFK, it is coming in early July!

Yes, will be great to start seeing the blue birds at JFK on a regular basis. First scheduled flight will arrive on Monday 7/4 (for those unaware of the start date). However, it will not be the first time as TN A340 has already visited JFK a month or so back.

A Air Tahiti Nui A340-300 has actully already visited JFK. It flew in on April 29th for some sort of charity event.

I like the looks of the Universal A320, the green winglets are a plus.

How come the route was downgraded from a B767-300 to a A320?

Actually, it's been a while since the B767-300 was used. It has been the Ice B757-200 for a while. I don't know the exact reason but I would assume loads? or cost of the 757? The A320 does look nice in that livery even if it's mainly white.
