GB AIRWAYS, the BA franchise partner, is to launch three new mainly leisure destinations from Manchester this winter; Marrakech three times per week, and twice weekly services to both Grand Canaria and Lanzarote. This will complete a Canary Island trilogy in British Airways colours, as the airline increases the current twice-weekly flights to Tenerife South, to daily. The new services bring the total number of destinations served from Manchester by GB Airways to seven. Flights to Malaga, Paphos and Malta were launched earlier this year, plus three summer-only flights a week to Dubrovnik, which will stop for the winter and resume again in March 2006.
Another example of BA grasping at opportunity, and perhaps BMI missing the boat altogether!
