Starting Dec 1, 2005, CX will add CX 256/257 HKG - LHR daily.
Departs from HKG @ 0900 and arrives same day @ 1450 in LHR.
Departs from LHR @ 2115 and arrives next day @ 1730 in HKG.
A34C will be used.
With this additional service, CX will offer passengers the choice of flights throughout the day ex-HKG with morning, mid-afternoon, and 2 midnight departures.

Quoting Hkg82 (Reply 2): We can expect CX to serve SYD four times a day next year.
The 0900 departure ex HKG will connect well with the overnight service from SYD, which arrives around 0600 to HKG.
I do not think CX will increase SYD services beyond 3 per day. If anything, they will bring back A346 and B744 equipment to increase capacity. They have a nice SYD schedule, with services every 6 hrs, and given the curfew, this will suffice.
If anything, CX will add a third MEL service, going head to head with QF's overnight service, which does quite well out of MEL. These services would also provide onward connections to the 4th daily HKG-LHR service.
My guess on timings would be
HKG 09.45
MEL 21.45
MEL 23.55
HKG 06.55+1

Looks like there is more coming at CX, including nonstops to Dubai, over and above the existing one stop at BKK services. Whoever is CX mad should look at all of their schedules...
