They are up to 34% complete, or 239 planes converted as of today may 7.

Go to: www.aa.com for details.

Actually what you see on AA.com is not up to date, even tough it says the number of reconfigs at such and such time... the following is as of Fri May 5 in the employee daily news:

---MORE ROOM KEEPS ROLLING ALONG---
Employees in Tulsa and Alliance Fort Worth are working hard at giving American's customers "more room throughout coach." Here's how the fleet stands:
Total Domestic Aircraft: 572
Aircraft Completed: 245
Completion Percent: 42.83
American is removing two rows of seats in all aircraft and spreading out the remaining seats. The domestic fleet should be reconfigured by fall. The international fleet will be completed next year.

i personally think that AA should do it's Int'l aircraft first so a person could be flying ORD-ZRH and get a little mor legroom and be more comfortable instead of having the same seats and being less comfortable

Give me a break, I created this username when I was a kid...

Are they doing any seat removal on the ex-Reno Air planes (MD-90s & MD-87s)? I'm flying to COS from LAX this week. The itinerary says MD-80, but this is an ex-QQ route.

Travelin Man - They are reconfiguring QQ aircraft. All MD-90s are done, I don't know how the QQ MD-80s are going.

Blink182 - I think that the reason they are doing domestic aircraft first (pure speculation) is that, because United only added Economy Plus to domestic aircraft, they want to fight back first.

MD90's were completed some time ago (more than 3 weeks ago).

As for your flight, it could be one of more than 260 MD-82/83 aircraft. Just because it is an ex-RenoAir route does not mean it will be an ex-RenoAir aircraft.
