Per The Wall Street Journal:

PARIS (Dow Jones)--European commercial aircraft builder Airbus (ABI.YY) said Thursday that GE Commercial Aviation Services, or GECAS, has signed a letter of intent to order 40 single-aisle jets of its A320 family.

This says it's an LOI, but we all know that an LOI from GECAS is as good as an order.

On Airbus' web site:

Was this or the LAN order the 40 that were talked about at Paris? The implication at Paris was that it was a firm order, but this is an LOI. Either way, another nice order for A32x, which is racking up some impressive sales numbers this year!

Wonder which engines they'll chose?  scratchchin

If this is converted to an order, how many orders is that now for the A320 family this year?

On a serious note, it's great to see such healthy demand for both the A320 family and the 737NG's - both going great!
Don't see much need for either manufacturer to offer much in the way of discounts.
