This is the return of BRITISH EUROPEAN AIRWAYS! This is the "new" logo;

(sorry - didn't come out too well)

The name change is a smart move for JEA. Their old name definately had a small, regional airline image. It also puts too much emphasis on Jersey, a market which is now much less important to the airline, which is refocusing on London, Birmingham and Belfast. The airline is also firmly looking to Europe, both in it's own right and as an Air France franchise. You can see how other airports are now more important than Jersey from this route map;

The new name better reflects the airline as it is now and it's future ambitions

Their website will now be at http://www.british-european.com

Sorry, just read the press release.
They won't use the name BRITISH EUROPEAN AIRWAYS, or the acronym BEA. Just BRITISH EUROPEAN, suggesting BA still hold rights on the old BEA/BRITISH EUROPEAN AIRWAYS name.
