I just saw ont he YHZ website www.hiaa.com that all AC flights are either running ver delayed or have been outright cancelled. All other flights seem to be operating more or less on sked. Anyone have any knowledge on the reason for AC being all messed up?

July 1, 2005 - Runway reconstruction at Halifax International Airport may cause delays and cancellations to flights to and from Halifax, particularly during inclement weather. For further details, please see the Halifax International Airport Authority's information link:

Customers with flights to and from Halifax are advised to check on the status of their flight prior to leaving for the airport by consulting the Air Canada website at www.aircanada.ca or calling 1-888-422-7533, or by using a web-enhanced cell phone.
For July 1, due to the runway reconstruction and inclement weather with visibility below limits, Air Canada advises that flights to and from Halifax will be impacted for the rest of the day.

As well Westjet also cancelled its' two afternoon flights to Halifax
WS 798 YYZ-YHZ-YYT went directly to YYT - no YHZ and WS 682 YYZ-YHZ was cancelled outright.
I'm sure it was more weather related, than runway construction - although that would also impact operations!!

The construction is for the ILS, so the ILS is out and the planes and pissed off people come to BGR, and I get to deal with them. My day has been wonderful how bout yours?
