What do you think of Balair's new 757s? I like the new livery very much but i will miss the yellow wings.

I must say in my opinion the livery looks very sharp on the 757s. I think the Swiss Air livery would look good also.

I have downloaded the Swissair 777 from Flightsim.com . And i must say that it looks sweet! To bad that it will never happen! A airbus narrowbody fleet and a boeing widebody fleet sound very good to me!

looks great, but the yellow wings ARE missing...

On the other hand, a wing paint job is horribly expensive.

To all: A most attractive and appealing scheme. Is the underside dark blue or black...I cannot tell!

I certainly hope this catches the attention of the decal makers...it would look great on a 757 model.

Best wishes,

I just wanted to add, that also the safety cards of the 757 look cool ! They are held in the usual Swissair style, but it is just a 757 (!) on it. Looks super cool !

I have a Balair 757 card for 2 weeks. It's sometimes usefull to have friends in the airline industry!

Can anyone tell me why Balair's new 757's are RR powered? I thought Swissair and SAir in general were very big on P&W engines because they own some kind of PW overhaul facility or something (SRTechnics). All of the 332 and MD11's have PW 4000 series engines. I know the PW 2000 are used for 757's but surely there must be some commonality between the two.

Didn't SR demand that Sabena change the engines of its new 332 to PW 4000 series from the GE CF6 because of this?

Now I see that the new Balair 763's will have GE CF6 engines, neither Pratt or RR powered.

Can anyone explain? Is it that the RR is the better/more efficient engine for the 757 and the CF6 better for the 767? Surely this cannot be so. I know that most 757 operators chose the RR over the PW engine but still.....
