Here's a strange fact. At the very end of their existance (I am talking about after they got rid of Frontier) they planned to do LAX-HNL nonstop with 747's. I don't believe they ever started this, although I have a timetable that lists it. Besides this route and what everyone else has mentioned, they flew the 747 to Tahiti from LAX (charter only) and a few times the 747 visited MSP.

I remember nabbing one of their in-flight magazines after a flight from EWR-LAX (red-eye, dubbed the Illegal Alien Express). Of course it showed a pic of the current air routes. They used 747s DEN-EWR and called that route "The Air Bridge", after Frontier acquisition obviously.
I remember seeing the SFO-BRU route also pictured, and assumed it was flown with 747s. I also remember asking myself, "How in the f*** can they make any money flying SFO-BRU charging only $99?" Guess they couldn't.......!
