Hi I really need some help. I have a Mexicana ff ticket that I didn't use. I can re-issue the ticket for a $25 fee but there is some confusion on the ticket's validity. The ticket is valid for one year from date of issue (which was 7/15/04)...does that mean I have to re-ticket by 7/15/05 and complete my full journey by 7/15/05 or can I re-ticket by 7/15/05 for a flight that begins say 12/15/05 and ends 1/10/06?
If you know the answer, please let me know. Different people at Mexicana keep telling me different things. Thanks is advance.

Was this a ticket purchased with miles, or some kind of standalone voucher?
If miles, I believe you can simply redeposit the miles.
If it's a voucher like my parents recently used, your travel must be completed within the one year, not ticketed.
The real answer, though, is what you can get them to ticket. If you have someone on the phone/at the counter who will ticket you for later in the year, once you've been re-ticketed, you'll be golden. They won't go back and yank the ticket after the fact (at least, I'd consider it almost entirely unlikely)
