Yep, kind of surprising given the fact that 4U is one of only 2 LCC's serving LGW from Germany anyway (the other one being U2, "by coincidence" also from CGN). With so many flights to STN and a slight dominance of AB in this market, I would have suspected STN to be dropped instead.

Probably STN is more established in the minds of the German LCC customers than LGW, which is really a shame, considering how many additional opportunities for onward travels one has from LGW compared to STN.

I think some flights to STN are also being dropped.

The equipment of the former LGW rotations is now shifted to a new twice daily CGN-LEJ-CGN rotation starting late September. STN remains in the 4U winter timetable.

U2 haven't announced LGW-CGN for winter yet, perhaps they were waitng 4U 's decision. Hope U2 continues into winter on this route.

Flew 4U LGW-CGN-LGW last month and they are not well known here at all, everyone knows easyjet fly to most of Europe but if you were to ask the average person then they would not know about 4U.
That said when I flew with them the flight out was only about half full, (on a Sunday morning) and about 3 quarters full on Tuesday evening so maybe the loads just aren't working for them as well as other routes
