British Airways, Airline Stocks Fall on London Blasts (Update1)
July 7 (Bloomberg) -- British Airways Plc, Air France-KLM Group and Deutsche Lufthansa AG were among European airline stocks falling today after multiple explosions rocked London.

Shares in British Airways had their worst drop since Sept. 20, 2001, the week after the terrorist attacks in the U.S. The stock fell as much as 25.75 pence, or 9 percent, to 246.5 pence and was down 6 percent at 12 p.m. in London.

Hmm, at least oil price is down almost 3 dollars. In the short term some airlines will benefit from the attacks, many people are currently moving out of London.

Let's hope that the situation does not get worse.

BAA's shares have fell by 24 pence as well.

Down to 500 and something. I can't check it the now as BAA's website is overloaded i think.

I work on the financial markets and yesterday I had a meeting with a client.

he was interested in heavily investing in the Air France equity.

I told him, the stock is currently doing well, but at the first terrorsit attack, it will fall and will not recover for a long time!

If this had happened in the US. There are at least 3 airlines that could not take the hit. (US, UAL, DL) Just my opinion
