Hi everyone. I am planning on going to FLL to shoot a week from tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone knew if the viewing park was going to be temporarily shut down due to the terror alert being raised for mass transit? Thanks!

It is being raised for mass transit, not air travel.

While this alert status is for mass transit transport, I would not be too surprised in the coming days to hear that some airports might take advantage of this and ramp up security.

It has been closed in the past for higher alerts, but Im not sure if the "mass transit" alert would prompt a shutdown this time...perhaps one of the full-time FLLers can take a swing by there tomorrow and find out...

I suspect that they closed it because a segment on 11pm news last night talking about BSO increasing security at FLL immediately after the London bombings and they have suspended curbside check-ins at all terminals. That will surely make lines longer inside.

Justin, I told you I think they probably closed it. BSO would close it for any reason they can get their hands on. Don, I also heard about BSO increasing patrols, maybe they can finally use all those cars they have sitting around in the garages, haha. And I knew when the news said that, the BSO are gonna be all over me. Anyway, I will try to make a run over there this afternoon, unless someone beats me to it.
