I noticed ATA.com now has seat maps for their 733's and 735's. Does anyone know when these planes will actually join the fleet and what cities they will service first. Im booked to fly LGA-MDW-MSP July 22nd and hope to fly on a 738 before they leave the fleet. Also if anyone knows if seat 8A is one of those window seats without an actual window? Thx in advance for any information. Also it appears the 733's and 735's will have one lavatory or did I miss something?

The -800's aren't leaving the fleet. I heard that they are not getting -500's anymore because of the CSM's associated with the smaller A/C. The first -300's were supposed to join the fleet end of summer or early fall from what I heard last.
Maintain 2300 until Boiler, cleared for the VOR-A approach, report BATLE inbound..

Those are for the Southwest Code share flights, ATA will never have 737-300/700 (same config on WN now) or 500's.
These planes will not be joining the ATA fleet, the joys of code-sharing!

Actually, the -300's are being added to the TZ fleet.. ex UAL birds to use in markets where they don't need / can't fill 175 seats.

I sure hope those seat maps are wrong. Indeed, on both the -300 and -500, in an all coach configuration, there is only 1 lavatory on the entire plane! NOT the smartest move ATA could have made! It's not like they need the space for the foward lavatory for seats... sheesh! 1 should be criminal on a plane that seats 130 or so.

Quoting 1MillionFlyer (Reply 7): Wow, interesting news, thanks. What about the -500 seat maps? are those WN ?
They were going to get -5's and thought better of it I guess..

There are two. One in the front, and the other at the back next to galley four.

Sure about that? I'm not doubting you-- but the website says one.

I don't know what else they would put there to begin with (certainly not a galley...they wouldn't need it nor is it marked on the map), so I'm assuming that their webmaster might have no clue about the lavs on the "new" planes. Furthermore, the lettering matches the lettering on the lavs on some of the other maps, "Lav B".

Uh--those are not codeshare seat configs--TZ is adding classics to the fleet. On what routes--don't know? Continental cannot give them theirs as they are tied up in leases--if CO could they would have off loaded the 735s.

Assuming their schedules are right on the website, they were supplementing BOS, DFW, MSP, LGA, and DCA. It looks like they will be joining the fleet end of October according to the schedules on the website (course it still shows 735's in the mix)..

uh thanks, but they do code share with WN which operates 737-300 and 737-500 and 700. I am sure they are getting rock bottom prices on the planes they are acquiring.
Continental has expressed that they will dispose of the -500's as soon as they can, that was a joke.
