From United Airlines:
ZED Interline Pleasure Travel Program Will
Include American Airlines
* Beginning July 18, 2005, United employees and
retirees can purchase reduced-rate interline tickets
for travel on domestic and international American
So we can now fly on LH and AA for ZED fares! YAY! Encouraging to see positive news regarding our benefits/compensation after so many cuts.
The debate continues... Starwood or Hyatt... which is better

It's about time for UA. When I worked for AA 2001-2003, they had a great ZED fare program with so many airlines. I find it hard to believe UA took this long to implement a program. Air Wisconsin, one of their regionals, even has ZED fares with many airlines.
This is good for UA employees, I just wish they didn't make the express carrier employees travel so restrictive.
We know for you it's not just a seat on a flight to a place. It's a seat on a flight to your life.

Zonal Employee Discount.
You pay depending how far you fly.
I never had the chance to fly on other airlines on a ZED fare. I almost did. But, I always was flying on a Fam Trip or on the many free passes I had on AA. I gosh, how much I loved flying free on First Class to LHR and MAD.
