A-380 With GE-90 Engines?

Has any other engine besides the RR-Trent 900 ever been considered for the A-380? For example the GE-90 or PW4084 etc.

Yup, the Engine Alliance (=GE + PW) GP7200...  Wink

Off the top of my head, I think that AF, EK, FX, KE and ILFC have chosen it over the Trent 900.

The aircraft needed a brand new engine to meet the LHR strictest noise regulations anyways.
