On would have thought this would have been done last year it being that was the 50th anniversiry of LH or are they waiting to change to this new livery for the entry of the A380 into service? Also an artist impression cannot due justice to the golden color until they actually decide on this as a livery change for there a/c. Eitherway it looks ok on the A380.
BTW: when does LH get there first A380's and what route will they fly?

Never thought I'd say this but: Give me the bland Eurowhite over this colorscheme anyday! Heck, if we can't have the Retro-colors as the regular scheme, lets not wast resources on something like that proposed livery.

No, LH will not change IMO. They try to express their conservative yet modern/professional image with their current livery, which that new one would never do. Remember that yellow belly livery in the 90s that ultimately became Condor. I believe I heard that a flight crew refused to enter that plane. There was a 732 and an A310 in that livery. I'll dig up some pics in a sec.

I'm sure that LH will update their livery when the A380 is introduced. I'm not expecting to much of a drastic change, but a nice update will most likely happen.
The "proposed" livery on modified airliner photos.net is nice, but knowing the German people, very unlikely to happen.
When LTU wanted to change their red planes to white a few years back, they got some pretty nasty responses from their customer base and the general public. IIRC, there were just a couple of A320's painted like this.
And if Germany's national carrier were to make such a drastic change, will someone please send me a copy of the Bild Zeitung that day? I'm sure that the headline would read....

Bild would only ask that if the CEO was caught in a cockpit having "fun" with a pilot... I guess Bild would not notice at all that LH have a new paintscheme...
Looking at that livery though, I must say, the crane on the fuselage is something I could imagine to happen with the intro of the 380. Not the colored body and the nacelles (would be nice though...), but a huge crane on the side like shown in that one... that is something I could imagine to happen...

Seems like a huge waste of money for a change that's BARELY noticible.. just the bigger bird logo, and a little retarted 'wave' thing on the bottom of the fuseolodge. Ridiculous, I hope this rumor's not true...

This was discussed a couple of times in various aviation boards, but probably not here at a.net yet. Verdict always was that this is NOT LH's future scheme, but rather a lame attempt by the creator of this virtual livery to stirr up some interest. Don't you think that a big company like LH would care for a little more secrecy when it comes to a rebranding?

let me give you an answer. Lufthansa has a magazine called "cabin whats up?" that is more or less only read by the flight attendants. Most of the articles are written by flight attendants. I write for this magazine and it will have an article about "modifiedairlinerphotos" and the different LH designs they are showing there in the next issue. I asked several people there for their permission to use their designs just to show what would be possible, one of them was GP, whose picture we see up there. I dont even know which ones will finally be chosen. The fact that one or several of the fantasy designs is presented in this magazine does not mean that a new colour scheme is due anytime soon. Although from my point of view that would be a nice idea...

why do people from this website keep taking those cardatabase photos seriously?? they're great fun to look at but I have seen sooo many threads where people have thought they are they new liveries! i seem to remember a us airways one a short while back.
Jeepers the chances are if its on that website - its fantasy.
Thats not to mean however that I think the people who create them should not continue as some are great designs, and others are good entertainment! who knows, one day, one of them may be used by a real airline!
