I will be in DFW in 3 weeks and I wanna know what aircraft I can expect to see there.

Is there any source at all..that can tell me what kind of aircraft I should be looking out for on the ramp at 4:30 in the morning.

I know I know..beggers cant be choosers but come on, I think it would be great if I knew what aircraft were there, and what ones were camping out overnight here in Dallas.

What is the typical traffic flow like at that early in the morning? After I get my boarding pass I am gonna get a bite to eat and ride the train around until about 30 mins prior to flight.

Just trying to get absoutley every bit out of this vacation that I can  Wink And for me, it all starts at the airport.

I know that AA's flight that leaves HNL in the evening usually rolls in around 5:40 ish. I still remember being on that DC10 at 0530 and the airport still had some activity on it.

Easiest way to answer this question:

Go to http://www.flytecomm.com/cgi-bin/trackflight put in DFW in the box for 'arrival airport' and that'll give you a good idea of what's there when.

The traffic flow before 5am is almost nil. As you said, the HNL comes in about 5:15 or so, but it is now a 767.

The AA West Coast red-eye arrivals come in beginning about 5:00am - SFO MD83, LAX 2x 738, SAN MD80, SEA 757, SMF MD80, LAS 757, ONT MD80, etc). Terminals A&C will have a lot of MD's, ERJ's and some 757 and 738's parked overnite awaiting the 6am bank of departures. You might see a 777 parked or maybe even being tugged over from maintenance for the mid-morning NRT departure. The BUE and SCL 76's come in a little after 6.

As far as overniters, CO should have an ERJ and 733 or two. UA usually an A319 and 735, at least. US a 735, 733, ERJ, I think. America West a couple of 733's. Frontier an A318 or so.

Just FYI - there will be little to nothing open at 430 as far as food, so be advised! Also, you might want to call DFW to verify that Skylink operates all night. It probably does, but might be a greatly reduced frequency due to virtually no flights operating until the 5am arrivals -- 972.574.8888

Just hate for you to be disappointed...especially if you are planning on having breakfast and not finding anything other than a snack machine at that hour! If you have a flight that early, perhaps something near your gate will be open, but I wouldn't depend on it without checking first!!
