Hi guys,
my sister flew recently with 4U STR-MAD on an MD87 of Nordic Leisure. She told me, the a/c was really crappy inside. Dirty, no screens, and some chairs have been defect. (The lean was bend forward to show people not to sit on those seats)
Who else flew with this a/c? Is Nordic Leisure a charter division of Finnair?
Why uses 4U such a bad a/c, which is not resembling to the other nice new, clean, and professional looking 4U A320/319's at all? I guess shortage of a/c's at 4U. But they could have got maybe a much more nice a/c than that one...

Nordic Leisure is a division of Nordic Regional. When Finnair bought Nordic Airlink, the regional arm was not part of the deal and is still owned by the original owner. In addition to the Saab 340 operation, Nordic Regional started adding MD-80s and MD-90s for their Nordic Leisure charter division.

There is a very good and detailed recent report about a 4U flight to STN w/ Nordic Leisure MD-87, written by Alex(username:Ndebele), in the trip report forum.
