It's pretty neat! First Tunnel I have ever driven through that runs directly under the airport runways. It was opened to public traffic last month and it is about 1.5 KM in length. And it cuts straight under the airport.
Can you name any other airports that have tunnels that run directly under them?

1.5 km may be among the longest. DTW has 2, one at each road approach to the midfield (NW) terminal. Longer of the 2 is probably less than 1.5 km, but not by much.

LHR has a tunnel that goes underneath 27R/9L into the CTA. Probably about 400m in length. A new tunnel has been built for airport vehicles to go between the CTA and T5:
The largest of the tunnels at T5 is the Airside Road Tunnel (ART). Measuring 1.3km in length and 8.1 metres in diameter, a special TBM was designed and built by specialist German company Herrenknecht, to cope with the varying gradients that came as a result of the tunnel's curved route between Heathrow's existing tunnel network. The ART is set to open in February, 2005. It will enable airport vehicles to travel between Terminal 3 and the T5 campus.

LAX has Sepulveda Blvd, which runs underneath the two southern runways.
LAS has the I-215/Airport Connector, which runs underneath the two east-west runways.

Additionally, there is another road tunnel from the south of T2 to the South Side of LHR which is not normally open to the public - except for emergencies.
