Northwest To Fly The Cardinals

This was in todays East Valley Tribune in Phoenix about HP not flying the Cardinals charter flights and NW taking over for this year.

Personally I don't think the cardinals deserve any airline but an interesting article.

Indeed. If the Cardinals were to make the playoffs or come close by some strange and unusual circumstance, it would be very tough to go back to HP after NW "carried" them to a successful year.

I don't have a problem with the Cardinals flying HP or NW or whoever. The Cardinals ownership ought to be the ones riding their bikes or taking Greyhound to their out of town games.

Somehow I doubt that's the reason...

I'd guess players and coaches don't get miles for chartered flights like that.

The Philadelphia Eagles get a NW 747-200 series from time to time, that probably rides nice for team charters. The Patriots use a DL 767-300.

I'm sure price was a big factor.
