Can anyone tell me which aircraft are in the fleet of Aereotuy of Venezuela? I know there is/was an ATR, and I also believe there is a B1900. Any other info? Are these different models assigned to specific routes or are they used across the network.

Thanks

They operate a fleet of Dash7 and Cessna Caravan. Diffucult to say how many of each. I would say around 4 Dash7 and two Caravan.

LTA Linea Turistica Aerotuy has three Cessna 208 Grand Caravan and three De Havilland DHC-7.

The airlines in Venezuela with Beech 1900 and ATR are:
- Avior (B1900)
- LAI - Lineas Aereas IAACA (ATR72)
- Santa Barbara Airlines (ATR42)
- Vensecar Internacional (ATR42; opf DHL)

Viasa,

Just for the record. Línea Aérea Industrias Aero Agrícolas C.A. (what a mouthful of a name !! - thank heavens the Italian owner shortened it to LAI !) also operates the ATR-42. In fact, those were the first ATR planes in regular service in Venezuela. They arrived in 1995. The ATR-72s came later in 1997.

Greetings from Cancún !

Viasa,

Not to my knowledge !
They used to operate 3 ATR 42 and 2 ATR 72. They are down to 3 planes but at least one ATR 42 is still there in the fleet.

Greetings from Cancun

Just to update LAI fleet:

1 ATR 72-200

that's it!

Aerotuy brought the 4th C-208B this year and they are planning to buy a 5th one. They operated a B1900 a while ago as well as D228. but they currently have Dash-7 and caravans.
