Hello all
Ok, this may seem a strange question but here I go.
Does anyone know of a Web Site / Search Engine that will give the lowest fares from any city in the US to London. Let me give you an example. On October 16 I want to attend an airshow in Duxford UK. I don't care what city in the US I fly out of as long as it gets me to London on October 14.
And I don't want to check all the web sites with 100s of cities.
I can Non-Rev to any city in the US but don't like to Non-Rev out of the US. That's just me so please spare me the why don't you just Non-Rev comments. Any pertinent info would be of great help.

Think outside of the box - CO is having a fare sale on its new EWR-Bristol service - $288 roundtrip plus tax (total $401.00 r/t) and many seats on many dates are available at this low fare during the summer season. This was just discussed a couple of days ago.

No, but the Travelocity flex search certainly does the trick. Don't know if I can post links here, but just go to Travelocity and click on "flexible dates" when you search for flights. It is an awesome tool. Also, the airfarewatchdog blog is great for a daily update on fare mistakes, sales, etc...check that out too, as it orders the majors like LA area and NY area into seperate blogs. Actually I thought I saw AerLingus offer something yesterday that was 379 R/T LAX-LHR, for example, but that is November and on.

As a previous poster noted, use the 'flexible dates' feature on Travelocity. Often they offer the 'best deals' from a variety of airlines. You can put in a range of days around your preferred dates. Also watch for sales by VS, BA, others with USA-UK services. The above deal with CO EWR-Bristol might be your best deal if you want to lock something in now. I have seen some sales now from JFK to Shannon/Dublin on AirLingus for like $199 each way (plus taxes/fees) and maybe you could get a cheap connection with them or Ryanair, etc. In any case, your best price would probably be via JFK/EWR and EWR may offer better connections to your home.

As Duxford is in Cambridgeshire, around J10 on the M11 motorway, north of Stanstead, I'd try anything tha flies into STN,LGW,LHR. BRS is far to distant, being way out to the West.
For info and as a guideline, the current scheduled web fare on BA from JFK to LHR on 12OCT, rtn on 17 OCT, is $229 each way, plus taxes, so anything better than that is what you're looking for.
I know you don't want to non-rev transatlantic, but OCT should not be too bad an option as it is hardly the busiest time of the year. There are loads of flights to LHR, and you'd be spoiled for choice!

Much as I'd like to promote BRS as well, it is a long way from Duxford. BRS to London is 126 miles, much more than the 1-1.5 hours quoted - it is actually 2.5 hours. BRS to Duxford is about 3.5 hours driving.

Have you considered flying north of the Border from Canada with the likes of Zoom Airlines or Thomas Cook?
If your in a position to get to Toronto you will be able to obtain some of the cheapest possible flights accross the Atlantic. You could also take advantage of Thomas Cook's 752's with 35inch seat pitch!
