Some details: the plane crashed about 150 meter from the Reichstag, pilot was killed. According to local police, identity and motives of the pilot are unknown.
German air traffic control suggests suicide as the motive. The UL crashed in the middle of the meadow and burnt completely. The plane departed in Straußheim and had no contact to German ATC. Pilot handed his car keys and papers over to his son before departing.

Apparently the pilot took his 14 year old son with him on a flight just before his deadly crash in Berlin. The son left the plane at Straussberg while the father continued to Berlin. It is still just a rumour that his wife had become victim of a crime before. Sad story
