going LAXHKG on CX Y class. looking at HKG's website, it appears that their "pay in" shower/nap lounge is only available to transit and departing passengers, due to its physical location within HKG. does that make any sense? who needs a shower prior to longhaul vs immediately after? anyone know if i can shower and freshen up somewhere in the airport? i arrive at 0540 local time and cant check into my hotel until after lunch.

That's strange. I've seen some some advertisement when arriving in HK offering showers, but those could be for that loung in the departure area you've found.

You could try the airport hotel, to see if they have any short stay package: http://www.regalairport.com/mmm/regalairport/en_US_main.html.

If it is for business, you are probably best off to make sure your regular hotel will accomodate you when you arrive.
