I was looking through http://microvoltradio.com, and I found this pic http://microvoltradio.com/images/b52june05.jpg . What is this 767 fuselage mock-up used for?

Thanks,
Dan

Boeing uses that 767 fuselage section for paint tests. They obviously used it to test the new Boeing house colors. Here's a picture of it partially painted in KLM colors:

The picture was taken at Paine Field - the B-52G belongs to the Museum of Fright.

Is it me or does that 767 look like it has been heavily photoshopped?
The B-52 looks fine but it seems to me the 767 was added in. Maybe it is my computer and I am dead wrong. Are there more photos?

Even in this thread someone has to call this a fake... Sad

not calling it a fake but there is a fuzz around the edges of the 767 (which has the numbers 787 painted on it) i can understand why someone could think it was fake

If Continental had a hub at DFW with nonstop flights I would always fly them, unfortunantely good things take time.

I'm pretty sure that it says 767, not 787.

Here's my  twocents

1) It's a crappy picture to begin with, quality sucks, contrast is minimal, etc...

2) It's a paint mock-up. This body has clearly been reworked many times for different airlines including Boeing. I would not expect perfection nor would I expect that to be the actual body of the aircaft. Can someone please conferm or correct me in stating that painting a body more than when it's "Needed" will ware away at the body itself....

Thanks,

Matt
