Air France Concorde Whisks Supermodels and Celebrities to French Riviera
at Over Twice the Speed of Sound
NEW YORK, May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, May 16, Air France Concorde
will whisk a star-studded ensemble of international supermodels and
celebrities at over twice the speed of sound from New York's JFK
International airport to Nice on the French Riviera. These VIPs are headed
to Cannes for a Cinema Against AIDS 2000 benefit evening on May 18 hosted
by amfAR (the American Foundation for AIDS Research), Miramax Films and
Victoria's Secret.

Partnering with Victoria's Secret, Air France has been chosen to carry
twenty of the world's top supermodels to the Riviera, including Tyra
Banks, Heidi Klum, Karen Mulder and Daniela Pestova, who will take part in
the Fifth Annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show at the Palm Beach Club in
Cannes, during the Cannes International Film Festival.

Prior to departure from JFK's Terminal One, the models, dressed in sleek
pink leather jackets and toting Victoria's Secret travel bags, will come
together for an exclusive group photo shoot standing beside the famous
Concorde nose.

For the occasion, the Air France plane received a partial pink make-over,
with the Victoria's Secret trademark logo framing the doors to the
aircraft. These unique decals are specially designed to withstand the
aircraft's Mach 2.02 speed and cruising altitude of 60,000 feet. Pink
headrests and specially printed Victoria's Secret menus round out the
customized on-board details.

During the four-hour nonstop flight to Nice-Cote d'Azur airport,
passengers will enjoy a gourmet brunch, followed by Krug Cuvee Speciale
Champagne and caviar service shortly before arrival.

In addition to the thousands of customers that Air France brings to Nice
every year for the annual Cannes International Film Festival, Air France
will also be transporting the couture-inspired Victoria's Secret lingerie
collection that the models will wear for the May 18 Fashion Show. This
world-famous Fashion Show will receive unprecedented coverage since it
will be Webcast live on http://www.VictoriasSecret.com at 3:00 p.m. EDT.

Events scheduled throughout this high-profile charity evening will benefit
amfAR which hopes to break its past record for single-event fundraising.
