Brussels Airport starts operations against at 7.00pm after it had been closed as from 2pm today. Hundreds of flights were cancelled, tens diverted to other airports, such as Paris, Luxembroug, Amsterdam, ... . The airport had to close because emergency teams were on strike.
Sabena, home-carrier at Brussels, said it has lost at least 1 million $ because of the strike and says it will try to get this money back from the airport.
