Go Jet2 flew them to Nice from MAN in April, very good service for an LCC. Could they join Star, set up a hub at MAN to replace BMI, then buy their 332's and show them what an Airline needs to do. Pick up the staff from BMI, great people.

I had a choice on there LGW service with BA, and I chose BA, better timings, more flights, and surprising BA were only a few pound more, and you get free food and drinks, and more choice on departure times.
They still are a very popular airline from Manchester, I will try them one day. Can't wait for them to add a 757 to the Manchester fleet, see Menzies struggle without a belt on those! Like they did with WW's A320 leased from BD, what a laugh.

I was thinking of the same thing given BMI's decision to drop IAD.

The Jet2 cabin crew are nice. Really friendly and some really lovley looking young men and women! They are perhaps the best crew I have encountered on a no-frills airlines.
They wear a smart unifrom and look very professional. Heads and shoulders above BMIBaby.
I too would fly Jet2, particularly over shorter sectors. I dont fancy them from LBA-TFS without at least the option to purchase a hot meal.

I know, some of those male cabin crew are lovely, and the tight black trousers always perk me up on a Jet2 flight
Not so much Pepperami, more Bratwurst, I would say

I feel the same, 7LBAC111. To put it into context, I would prefer to read about Orion's time-honoured views of inflight refreshments. OK, perhaps I wouldn't. At least this s fun to read.

So which rputes are they destined for? I am assuming a published three weekly LBA TFS won't keep them busy!

Is one coming to MAN?
I don't think any of this is widely known just yet. I've as yet to hear a report of where the 757s are destined for. There has been a rumour of late that one is coming to MAN......spose it might be best suited to AGP.....?

Not MAN-LGW thats for sure. On many routes from Manchester, Jet2 only just manages to fill the 733, so I have serious reservations about their ability to fill the 757.

They are certainly doing very well on all routes to and from MAN this summer....their 'low fares finder' is testament to that!!

I've just come back from Stuttgart and was impressed at the amount of Jet2 a/c at MAN, looks like they giving it a real go.
I've not had the pleasure of Jet2 yet but I'm sure it'll happen at some point.
Next flights: CXR-SGN-DXB-MAN; MAN-IST-AUH-MAN
25 GayrugbyMAN: Weren't there some murmurings a few months ago that loco LBAJFK as being looked at? That would certainly fill a 757!

30 Mhodgson: Flyglobespan manage to fly 73Gs from GLA-ACE, even further north than LBE. Wonder what they do?
31 GVBIG: They'll be 733s or 738s. GSM don't have 73Gs (737-700)
32 GayrugbyMAN: I am still dreaming of one particular Jet2 lunchbox......
33 WhiteHatter: Jet2 did it properly in the catchment area. Buses, billboards, radio ads...the brand is everywhere. Even Air Berlin are dipping into it now with billb
34 Mhodgson: Yep - it's all over the buses, shelters and billboards in Morecambe too, so they have a huge brand awareness.
