I plan to travel in Afghanistan next year. While I hope to travel overland (it is a much better way to see a country) I might fly at least once (for the fun). However, I cannot find the domestic schedules of Ariana, not least because they're not listed on its website. So, does anyone know how I can acquire them? What about other Afghani airlines' websites?

Currently no scheduled flights Kabul - Kandahar.

If you think of any other city pairs, let me know and I can look. Of course these are for guidance only, I don't think the flights run too well to schedule.

Cheers, young man!

I was expecting KBL-Herat and KBL-Mazer-I Sharif. Other routes are (or at least were) operated from KBL to destinations in the north, although only once- to thrice-weekly (depending on the route). I do not currently have the list of routes in my possession.

There is surely sufficient demand for KBL-Kandahar. I suspect that the reason that it does not currently operate is because that area (i.e. the south*) is currently a dangerous area.

What are the other airlines stated in your reply?

* The SE and the road from Herat to Kabul via the south and Kandahar are also dangerous at the moment.

NR = Pamir Air
RQ = Kam Air

I was surprised by the lack of flights to Kandahar - maybe because the area is dangerous, or just the airport.

Or both. Still, I expect them to resume sometime.

While we're discussing Afghanistan, I wonder how FG's international routes are performing. I know that they should, in theory, do well, but I don't know the facts.

If or when a London link is resumed, what frequency do you think would suffice? Do you think that it would operate non-stop or via somewhere? If the latter, where? It'd add less than 100 NMs via SVO; less than 50 via BAK; and just over 150 via THR. Do you think that it would be a suitable route for BMed? The route would require a stop if operated by either the 320 or 321. As FG has A300B4 machines, they might be able to do it non-stop (A.net's aircraft stats states that its maximum range with maximum fuel is 3,400 NMS. The route would be under 3,200 NMs), but then it might have to stop enroute. I wonder how much cargo KBL-LON-KBL would generate.

Oh yes. I forgot about that. It isn't listed on its website, either.
