Heard that it is going to BFI and then again to EWR. Meantime is it one plane or are they two of them doing the world tour ?

Also surprised that Being is going to provide each seat with a Bose QuietComfort 2 headphones . Check it out at the flash site of http://777.newairplane.com/

Both aircraft are @ BFI, and will be flying together at the Seafair airshow.

24 flight on track for this fall, it will be a round trip city pair, nonstop. Something like EWR-HKG and back, non stop.

Driving by on I-5 South, I saw both N60659 and N6066Z parked side-by-side infront of the Boeing hangar at BFI.

Will either N60659 or N6066Z enter into a carriers fleet or will both stay with Boeing as the test planes?

Both 772LR prototypes (N60659, N6066Z) will enter PIA's fleet next year.
At Boeing it is now known, that a soled plane makes more money, then a stored prototype.
As with the 773ER types went to JAL.
And the 1st 777 whicht went to CX.

One of them (I forget which one) is supposed to be delivered to PIA in January after the flight test program is completed.

Which is Augest 6th & 7th, so in the mean time they are not going anywhere?  Sad

Both are destined for Pakistan International Airlines:
N6066Z will become AP-BGZ and be handed over to PIA in Jan '06.
N60659 will become AP-BGY and be handed over to PIA in Feb '06.

To clarify, do you mean that a B777-200LR will depart EWR will a full fuel load, fly 7000+ nm to HKG, do a touch-and-go, and then fly back to EWR and land with reserves? Even flying eastbound in both directions, 14000+ nm would be impressive.

I still think that LHR-SYD westbound would be very impressive.

the comment about EWR-HKG was tongue in cheek, obviously the 772LR does not have the fuel for a 14,000 mile trip, but you get the general idea. There will not be a touch and go however, it will be a nonstop flight.
