I'm ashamed that some of my countrymen could create such a shitty website. This is worse than a 7th grader Computer Class's project.

Apart from what Chiguire previously mentioned, they also have lots of typos (missing accents) and especially the one that caught my attention:

FROM CONVIASA's website

"INFORMACION AL PASAJERO
Se les Recominenda a todos nuestros clientes, hacer previa reservación para asegurar su cupo en nuestros cómodos equipos. Por otro lado, para el día en el que deseen volar, se recomienda presentarse con una hora de anticipación, tenga o no reservación hecha, para que no corra el riezgo de perder el vuelo deseado."

Today, where internet is in many ways key to airlines' marketing efforts, I am surprised to see how bad the internet presence of some companies is. Conviasa's is only the latest addition. Better no internet presence than this one. There are many Venezuelan branding/marketing and web design specialists that could do a great job. What we see here is more the job of a hobby designer...Conviasa is not here to stay. Venezuelans are used to live SinViasa already.

Correct...look at this...Avior Airlines.

This is not great, but IMO the best website from a venezuelan airline at the moment. Laser Airlines is also OK: Laser Airlines.

Conviasa is such a shame....  sorry

Actually, the design itself is not that bad...

... but the English translation is terrible.  thumbsdown

Don't expect to see me around that much (if at all) -- the contact link should still work, though.

Oh Oh.

That was not definitely written by an academic of the RAE de la Lengua.

Laser is GREAT! I just sent my kid to Porlamar on Laser: they were cheap, convenient, efficient in letting me pay the ticket upon check-in, very friendly groundstaff and the best part: as the captains are old friends of us he got to spend the whole flight in the cockpit jumpseat.

I'm afraid this kid will not come back to AMS anymore!

BTW I watched planes for a while, saw all the equipment we've been 'talking' about lately, even the Ilyushin-96 came in while I was there. No better way to spend a holiday afternoon!

I wish that all skies were orange and blue!!

Very true...

...But as I've said before, if we heard the president of Venezuela publicly and vehemently say adquErir [supposedly acquire], in a public conference, we can expect anything from people below him within his administration.

What is really funny about that is that he make that mistake while acting as a teacher for the govt. literacy program on national TV.

You can imagine the poor quality of the education those poor people get.
