Gotta love the looks of the 736 - the "sports-car" of the 737NG family with its big wings and tail and short fuselage!

Almost looks like a re-engined 100! Very cool! Gives new meaning to the original nickname of "guppy".

The size of those WESTJET titles sure make the thing look small overall. A nice 737SP.

I'm also curious about the installation of the winglets. Where/when will it be done, and how long is the certification process supposed to take?

Why can't Boeing just put the winglets on when building the plane? After all, it is a Boeing feature, isn't it?

Hate mail, over photo's? Pathetic. Thanks very much for the pictures which I always appreciate. After all the incremental orders Westjet have placed for the 736 it's finally good to see the real thing.

I could probably find this info myself but I'm lazy: how many 736's have WestJet ordered?

Thanks!

Well I am heading out today to see what happens. Weather is gona suck so if I see it, I will take a few pictures but I honestly am not expecting much.
If the 736 fails to arrive, then I give up and will just head back home.
I expect to see it anywhere from 1pm-5pm

A half-dozen or so, I believe. They might have upgraded some options to orders in the past few months, not sure.

Given a choice, I'd expect it sometime before 1600. Of course, that could change.....

Kay, I just got back from the airport. As I suspected the weather got from bad to worse. I'm Drenched! No WestJet 737-600 though so I was not too happy.
I took a look at the hangars and all 3 bays are wide open with the third one being occupied by a 737-800 GJWS.

However, NOW it is listed.. Flight 9001 arriving at 5:34pm local..
I might return. We shall see.
