Casino Express Airline celebrates the sale of the airline.

Elko, July 27, 2005---Casino Express Airline, a Nevada based airline has been
purchased by CXP Management (a management buyout team) and the Avion Group.
The Avion Group is a leading international transportation firm. They were founded in January 2005 through a merger of Air Atlanta Icelandic and Islandsflug. Avion Group also includes Air Atlanta Europe, Avia Technical services, Excel Airways and Southair.

The management team, in partnership with Avion is eager to become one of the leading charter service airlines in the United States. To achieve this goal we are pleased to announce that Casino Express Airline will take delivery of our first B737-400 on November 1, 2005. This 2000 model aircraft will seat between 144 and 170 passengers. The range will be approximately 5 hours and the fuel burn is approximately 900 gallons per hour. Our second aircraft that will be available for charter will be a B737-800 and will be delivered on November 4, 2005. This aircraft will have a seating capacity of 189 passengers. The range will be approximately 6 hours and the fuel burn is approximately 850 gallons per hour. In addition, we will take delivery of a second B737-400 on December 1, 2005.

All aircraft will have plush, blue leather seat covers, large overhead bins and hot ovens. The 800 will also have an entertainment/video system. With the addition of newer and larger aircraft we look forward to providing all of our customers with efficient and reliable transportation, as well as impeccable service.

Casino Express will continue to operate charter agreements with the casinos in Nevada and will seek new business in order to add additional aircraft.

I didn't think any of the 737 classic series were produced through 2000, as was mentioned in the article......maybe I'm wrong?

Anyone have any idea if the 738 or 734 will be sent on any ENV runs? I've seen the 732 there a couple times driving through.

How will a 737-800 or 737-400 perform out of Elko. They stop for gas in SLC just about everyday in the 737-200 with JT8-17s. Unless they are going to dump Elko flights and only do charters.

Not sure if Wendover will survive. I had heard some people say loads are great and others say load factors are way off. So who knows?

EKO is 7200 + feet, should not be a problem.

Every now and then Casino Express fly's into EWR, but in the early morning. I wish they would fly in during the afternoon, I am dying to get a pic of their 737-200. Sorry guys but besides the -800, I think the -200 is the best 737 ever produced!!

Argreed, flew one of HP's last 732's last aug. Awsome flight, I sat right next to the engines and got several great shots of the reversers being deployed.

Elko is 5051 feet Elevation and on a hot day add density altitude and any 737 will have a hard time getting out of there with a good payload. Also it has mountains all around the airport and add engine out performance factors. I just dont think a 737-400/800 is best suited for that airport.

I will miss the snap crackle pop of the 737-200.

Yes but these flights never go out heavy. Casino Express does not allow any checked bagged, and does not carry freight.

73's and 75's fly loaded out of JAC year round, and that airport is 6300 feet long and over 6500' in altitude.

As Avion own Excel Airways who operate 738s and Islandsflug who operate 734s, and they have stated that they intend to offload seasonal capacity into US markets this winter, then if I was a betting man that's where my money would be. But there again I would have to be a betting man to fly with Casino Express?

Go to Atlantic City on a weekend, you'll see them in there.

Would also be betting the 738 is an Excel aircraft - they have blue leather seats and video systems. Don't Excel 734s have blue leather seats as well? Would make sense for the quite UK winter season.

Wonder how the Avion group's involvement will affect Casino Express. They certainly haven't done Excel any favours - and Air Atanta Europe aren;t exactly great.
