Big Sky Airlines will be announcing their schedule from Calgary to Kalispel & Spokane, along with service from Boise to Jackson WY.
Additionally they will be starting Boise-SunValley-Salt Lake City & Salt Lake City Jackson WY Service sometime in January

Glad to hear it, I recently visited BIL and saw the Big Sky's parked on the ramp. Do you know if they plan to start service to Red Lodge?

Boiler up! - Next flights: IND-DFW-AUS, AUS-DFW-IND

I'm surprised with all of the Boise expansion. I'm rather happy about it, but just surprised. Why is Big Sky expanding Boise so much?

Good question. Though I'm not sure how the loads would do. I know it's atleast an hour drive from BIL to Red Lodge. I would think it would have to be an EAS city for GQ to fly there. And there isn't an extra a/c just sitting around to run a route like that. We're kinda tight on a/c at the moment, even though we just got an 8th Beech online.

To be honest, I have no idea.

Why would they take on OO and DL routes? During January DL is flying 733's daily on SLC-JAC. There must be other links up there they can fly instead.

It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now.

Looks like DL's price from JAC to SLC is around $260 roundtrip (after the new year). If you want to fly a bit slower, methinks GQ could come a bit under that.

that is a bargain fare for SLC-JAC. I paid $560 on Orbitz a couple years ago, with a 4-week advanced purchase.

I'd rather fly a EMB-120 over a 1900D Big grin

That's what the DL website gave me for mid-January.

Big baby.       Maybe we'll throw a Metro on that route just for you.

Now now, no names. It could come back to haunt me.  Wink

Hmmmm. Maybe email me privately. What are we looking for? I most likely don't know the info you want, and it may be better for you to get it from our PR people. But ya never know.

I honestly think GQ is in a very interesting position right now. I'm kind of excited to see where we may go from here. Big grin

They are not taking on OO and DL per say, it's more like they are opening up JAC to the likes of their code shares with HP and NW, with SLC as their connecting point.

NW flys their own metal into JAC, a daily A319 from MSP during the ski season.

I always have this vision that NWA/Mesaba Holdings (or whatever their name is) will one day assign some CRJ's to Big Sky to operate as a new, lower cost (if that's possible) Airlink partner. Don't know if that would work, but I see that in the future.

Just my meaningless, uninformed two cents.

ahh No surprise..

I was informed earlier the year that a US air carrier would commence flights to Montana and Big Sky seemed to be the carrier. I went to Montana a few months back and saw some Big Sky airplanes at their airports. Glad it is now a confirmed.
Blue Beeches..  Smile Mix with the white beeches the city already gets from Central Mountain Air.

I had hoped that a connection to Missoula would be on the list but Kalispell is close enough. (even though smaller)
