I have a question for all the Continental freq flyers, employees etc. I am flying JAX-HNL on CO in 2 weeks. The flight from IAH is 8 hours and I was wonder how continental is as far as service/comfort goes on their long haul routes because 8 hours is a long time to be stuck in a plane. Any help is much appreciated.

I have flown CO many times between LAX and EWR, which is only about 5 hours. Every time, the flights are fantastic. Usually they go something like this:
Shrtly after takeoff, they pass around hot, scented towels. Then they take your drink requests and deliver them. Followed is the food (which for some inexplicable reason, I always looked forward to, and enjoyed my CO meals). Then a follow up round of drinks. Then the cleanup.
Awhile later, they'll pass out a snack....and the drinks just keep on a' comin'!
All the while a friendly, attentive and professional group of in flight staff.
If you've never flied CO long distance, you won't be disappointed.
Take it from the number 1 cranky guy on this forum. You were wise to select Continental as your carrier for long haul
